It’s now 9 days away before the big day so another way to enjoy Christmas more and all the food that comes with it, is to take a probiotic…

Probiotics contain specific strains of microflora to ensure there is a balance of bacteria in the gut so that pathogenic bacteria doesn’t take over.

Not only does this keep the immune system strong but it prevents infections as well as more serious inflammatory diseases to develop.

Probiotics can be found naturally in fermented foods such as Kombucha, kefir and sauerkraut.  You can find these in your nearest health shop or even better, why not try making them yourself! See my previous blog on Kombucha and I will try to post something on sauerkraut and kefir soon too! 🙂
